Student Review:

"How I wish there would be more lessons like He's a Pirate!! Teaching the way you play it, is in my opinion the best. With all the details you talk about, measure by measure, all well explained, the video quality, it's PERFECT. If ever you publish other lessons like that, I will be the first to join." Really well thought out and presented in a professional, friendly way

I was delighted when, upon hearing Taylor Davis' cover of 'He's a Pirate', to discover she did a tutorial on it. Relatively new to the violin, the piece was both familiar and challenging. I love how she explained different positions, their pros and cons, gave practice tips on how to nail the harder and faster portions and was smiling and encouraging the whole way through. Having this kind of in depth and accessible tutelage has helped me get further than I thought possible and while there are some challenging measures still ahead for me, I feel as though I might be able to play this piece with confidence in the future...and when in doubt I can go back to the lesson and avail myself of her wisdom and experience. On the whole, extremely satisfied :-)

Music with Taylor’s style...

… is in my opinion something very valuable. I really enjoyed following her step by step instructions on how to play He’s a Pirate the way SHE DOES IT. How to (and why) shifting in many passages was very beneficial: I’m learning, and doing it the correct way!!! Thanks Taylor, I want more like that :)
