Gold-filled is a commonly used term for a metal that has a solid layer of 14K gold around it. Unlike gold-plated, it will not peel or chip over time. Halie's gold jewelry is created from 5-10% 14K solid gold over brass which makes it waterproof and safer for sensitive skin (in other words, it's a quality metal that won't tarnish or turn your skin green)!
